This treatment has been used for over 2000 years and is still very popular today. This treatment combines acupressure, energy balancing and massage all into one blissful therapy.
Unlike western and eastern massage techniques that focus on tissue manipulation and working on joints and muscles, Thai foot massage focus on pressure points, energy lines and body force.
If this is your first treatment with me then I will ask you to fill in a consultation form. This enable me to give you a beneficial treatment.
Clothing does not have to be removed, however I will require access to the feet, lower legs and the knees. You will be covered with a soft blanket to ensure you are kept warm, covered and comfortable.
The treatment takes 1 hour and your feet, ankles, lower legs and knees will be massaged.
To stimulate the energy points on the feet I use a Thai wooden stick. The points stimulated are similar to those for Reflexology. This treatment can leave you feeling very relaxed and sleepy or can boost the bodies energy.
I recently had a Thai Foot Massage from Paula of Tranquil Treatments. The experience was very relaxing, she made me feel completely at ease and comfortable, so much so that I actually fell asleep for a brief time. Paula visited me in my own home which made it even more convenient and meant not having to travel after having the massage. Having not had a massage in several years I was quite nervous, but Paula's demeanour and skill made the treatment extremely enjoyable. Throughout the massage Paula used her wealth of knowledge to explain what was going to happen next and ensure I was happy and comfortable. I will continue to use Paula for other treatments in the future and would highly recommend her services to friends, colleagues and family.
