This week at Tranquil Treatments Massage Therapy, Norfolk

8th February -14th February 2016

Today is Valentine’s day, so Happy Valentine’s Day to you all. Just a reminder that the most important person to love is yourself. I have been encouraging people today to do nice things for themselves, it’s not being selfish, it’s showing yourself your worth.

It’s been a bit quieter this week due to some cancellations as there are some nasty bugs going around. But that was ok because it gave me time to catch up on some admin. Lets have a look at the past week.

Corporate Day
On Monday it was the monthly wellbeing massage day at a local supermarket in Norwich. Staff enjoyed back massages from 10.30am until 2.30pm. The staff pay for the massage themselves but they get it at a reduced rate. This supermarket understands how important it is to look after their staffs wellbeing and how it saves the company money by reducing staff sickness leave.
After the massage day I visited a client that I haven’t seen for just over a year. Because she lived literally 2 minutes away from the supermarket I was able to visit her in her own home. It was lovely to see her again and to see how her son had grown up. Monday evening was spent in my therapy room at Bayleaf in Hempnall Green near Harleston.

Tuesday was a day working on my business, not in it. I have recently signed up to The Referral Institute which means on a Tuesday morning I spend time looking at various aspects of my business. Tuesday lunch time I had my own massage. I feel it’s very important for me and my health that I have a massage every month. I have been using complementary therapies for nearly 20 years myself.

Wednesday started off with my weekly networking breakfast meeting in Norwich. This is a meeting where we work hard to get each other genuine referrals. I have been part of this network for over 2 years and I have grown my business and my personal development over that time.
In the afternoon I attended a funeral of one of my clients. This was my first client when I started Tranquil Treatments nearly 4 years ago. She was 91 years old and when I first started she used to hop up on my massage couch but over the years we went from the massage couch to massages in her recliner chair. She was a lovely lady and will be missed. After the funeral it was off to the therapy room for more clients.

Friday  and Saturday I had my regular clients having treatments in the therapy room.

Treatment of the week.
A number of clients this week have decided to have a 30 minute back massage followed by a 30 minute Express Facial. This is a great combination. All of the clients need to have regular maintenance work on their back to reduce back ache and pain and also they have found that their headaches have reduced or disappeared totally. The facial is a nice relaxing treat but also very beneficial to the skin in this cold weather. Whilst having the facial clients lay on their back on my heated couch. This means the muscles I have just worked on keep warm and relaxed maximising the benefits of the back massage.
The Express Facial includes a cleanse, tone, exfoliation, massage, mask, moisturise and eye cream. The products used are by The Green People and are certified organic and safe to use on all skin types.

Availability for the coming week.

Friday 19th      12pm,   12.30pm

Saturday 20th   10.15am,    10.30am,  11am.

If you would like to book an appointment or discuss if I have a therapy that may benefit you then please call 07731 326145 or use my contact form.

This coming week is half term week in Norfolk so it’s a juggling act with work and being around for my son. I hope you all have a good week, I believe we have snow forecast so remember keep warm, wear a scarf, hat and gloves to reduce stressed muscles.
