This week at Tranquil Treatments, massage therapy, Norfolk

25th January – 31st January 2016.

It’s been a very mixed and diverse week at Tranquil Treatments. It’s certainly been busy. I’ve seen 3 new clients this week. One lady was a new client at the Norfolk & Norwich hospital Wellbeing Day. She took advantage of a cancellation slot I had and has already booked her slot for next month. The other 2 new clients came to see me Bayleaf Therapy Room, Hempnall Green, near Bungay. One lady enjoyed an Indian Head Massage and the other lady has been looking for a therapist that does Hydrotherm and has now found me through the internet.

Corporate Wellbeing Day.
Monday was the monthly Wellbeing Day at the N&N hospital. All spaces were filled so it meant 6 hours of continuous massaging. This month I had so many members of staff contact me to book in that I could have filled another 6 hours. They really appreciate the treatments they get and find it fits in so well having the treatment at their workplace. Next month’s Wellbeing Day is already fully booked.

I’ve visited a couple of mobile clients this week. I had a lady in Long Stratton who every 3 weeks has a back, neck and shoulder massage as this gives her relief from headaches and migraines, and I visited a lady who lives on south side of Norwich. I see this lady weekly or fortnightly depending on how she is feeling.  However, it’s been busy in the therapy room, Facials, full body massages, Indian Head Massage and back massages have all been popular.

Treatment of the week.
Back, neck and shoulders once again has been popular. I would like to tell you a little more about a particular client. This client came to me for the first time the previous week. She had been given a gift voucher for Christmas for a 45 minute treatment. This lady had an accident on a horse a few years ago. During the massage I found quite a few areas that were very tight especially the neck area as a probable result of the accident. My client decided that she wanted to book in again this week so that we could tackle the problem quicker. When she visited me this week she told me how good she had felt after her massage and how she had loved that I had got underneath her shoulder blades. She said she had always felt there were tight spots under the shoulder blades but no other therapist had found them and she thought they had been there for years. This week it was really pleasing to feel the difference from last week. Many of the areas were much better, even the concerning area on her neck had much improved. My client said that she had not had a headache all week. There are just a couple of areas that need a little more work which my client will have done in the coming week and then we can look at a maintenance programme to keep the niggles and knots away.

Health & Wellbeing Open Day.
Today I attended a Health & Wellbeing Open Day along with Kyle Brooks of Brooks Personal Training,  Joelle Fordham of Bodyflow Osteopathy, Steve Dunn of Straight Forward Hypnotherapy and Mary-Ann McLaughlin of Phoenix Rising Yoga. We gave people the chance to come along and ask questions about any health concerns they had and we gave free help and advice. It was a really good day as it gave us all a chance to meet each other and find out more about each other and the services we provide and we were kept busy by people coming along. To top the day off we raised money to help a local family in Norwich who are in need. It was certainly a great end to the week.

Availability for the coming week.

So as you can see it’s been a busy week. I took some time out on Saturday to do a Colour and Aura Workshop with Bronia West. It was a really good day, very interesting with lots of laughs. It was a day of broadening my horizons and learning lots about how we are affected by colour.

I hope you all have a good week, stay safe and take care.
